❤️ About the Role 

 Join our passionate Prevention Team as a Nutrition Advisor, where you’ll be at the forefront of empowering whānau, tamariki, and communities to live heart-healthy lives. This role is your opportunity to be part of a team that’s dedicated to inspiring positive change and reducing the risk of heart disease across Aotearoa.  You’ll play a vital role in bringing nutrition education to life by supporting early learning services, schools, and communities across Northland to create environments that foster long-lasting, heart-healthy habits. 

❤️ What You’ll Do

  • Deliver nutrition and physical activity programmes in early learning services and schools.
  • Provide engaging training sessions for educators and whānau.
  • Build strong relationships with local education and health stakeholders.
  • Support high-needs communities to access heart health initiatives.
  • Represent the Heart Foundation at local events and activities.
  • Travel across Northland to connect and support your service area.

  •  A passion for promoting health and empowering communities to thrive.
  • Proven ability to motivate and inspire individuals, groups, and organisations toward healthier choices.
  • Confident presentation and facilitation skills across a wide range of audiences.
  • Insight into the social, cultural, and economic factors that influence child health and wellbeing.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a self-driven approach to working independently.
  • A deep commitment to improving heart health and reducing health inequities in high-needs communities.
  • Understanding of Tikanga Māori and Pacific cultures, te reo Māori or Pacific language skills are a bonus.
  • Connections and links with the local community would be advantageous.
  • A full, clean driver’s licence and willingness to travel across Northland.
